Nick Christy BA FCMA
Nick is a Chartered Accountant who trained with KPMG in London as an auditor and has ten years of commercial financial control experience. Nick has experience of financial planning and control, budgeting and financial modelling, equity raising, debt restructuring and due diligence exercises. He has worked for almost a decade with public company levels of corporate governance, audit management and financial reporting. He combines a commercial focus with excellent attention to detail.
Nick has held over 40 board level appointments, held his first directorship at the age of 19 and was an officer of a stock exchange listed company by the time he was 28. During his accountancy training Nick was ranked in the top 10 students nationally twice and in the top 10 internationally once, sitting the final three stages of his qualification in 18 months. He holds a degree in Industrial Economics from Nottingham University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants.
Peter Brewin MA MEng
Peter Brewin MA MEng
Peter studied Engineering (M.Eng) at Cambridge University and Industrial Design Engineering (MA) at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. Since graduating from the RCA, he has been working as Managing Director of Concrete Canvas Ltd (www.concretecanvas.co.uk) a rapidly growing company he co-founded to exploit applications for the Concrete Canvas material he invented whilst at University. He has successfully raised two stages of venture capital and grant funding and the company now includes the British Army and US Navy among its customers.
In the last 4 years his work has won 17 Awards, including the Chartered Society of Designers Young Designer of the Year, The British Standards Institute (BSI) Environmental Design Award (twice) and the Saatchi & Saatchi Award for World Changing Ideas. Peter has patents pending on 3 of his award winning designs and was elected to the ‘Future 500′ by the Observer Newspaper and the ‘Top 50 – Bright young Things’ by the London Evening Standard Newspaper.
